VISIT OF SIGNAL BRIGADE COMMANDER AND REGIMENTAL CENTRE COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS TO 2(V) SLSC

Brigadier WL Premasiri USP, Signal Brigade Commander of Sri Lanka Army and Brigadier LSP Perera USP, Regimental Centre Commandant paid an official visit to 2 (V) Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Welikanda on 28 May 2020.

Both respective guests arrived to Signal Corps Holiday Bungalow ‘Miridiya Pawana’ on 27th and was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel AAT Somarathna USP, the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) SLSC and other fellow Officers of the unit.

The following day with the Traditional Ceremonial Guard Turnout (Drive Pass) awarded by the troops of the Regiment, the honoured guests were again warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel AAT Somarathna USP, the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) SLSC.

Following the formal briefing conducted by Commanding Officer,programme of the day was comprised number of significant events including an All Rank tea, Troop Address and Lunch. The Regimental Centre Commandantaddressed all gathered and he outlined the history of the Signal Corps and that 2 (V) Sri Lanka Signal Corps was there since the beginning. And he didn’t procrastinate to appreciate all who have helped to uplift standards of the Corps among others. Then Commanding Officer - 2(V) SLSC presented mementos to the Signal Brigade Commander and the Regimental Centre Commandant on behalf of all in order to appreciate his generosity and service rendered as the Signal Brigade Commander of Sri Lanka Army and Regimental Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Finally, both of honoured guests departs by leaving congratulatory notes in the Visitors Book of the 2(V) SLSC for the job well-done.
