Major General DAPN Dematanpitiya ndu psc, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid his first official visit to 2 (V) Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Welikanda on 04 March 2020.
The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel AAT Somarathna USP, the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) SLSC and honored with a Guard Turnout. Thereafter, Commanding Officer conducted a formal briefing to Colonel Commandant followed by planting of a sapling, troops address, all rank tea party and camp visit. During the troops address the Colonel Commandant indicated that the importance of improving the knowledge of Officers and Other Ranks of SLSC and also highlighted that enhancing of the leadership ability of Junior Non Commissioned Officers which is timely required.
The lunch hosted by the Commanding Officer at the Officers’ Mess and Colonel Commandant left some complimentary remarks in the Visitors’ Book.
