3 SLSC WELCOMED COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (JAFFNA) IN HIS INAUGURAL VISIT

3rd Signal Regiment formally welcomed the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya VSV USP ndu USACGSC as he made the inaugural visit to the Regiment Headquarters in Palaly Army Cantonment (PAC) in the morning on 7th October 2019.

Upon the arrival, the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Anuradha Mendis psc received the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and introduced a line Signal Officers to him who are presently serving under the Regiment.

As per the scheduled programme of the visit, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Commanding Officer first, then interviewed a Recruit and inspected the RHQ Office prior to attend the briefing on the Regiment’s Role and Tasks conducted by Commanding Officer that was held at the conference hall. Then he was conducted to the unit lines and sequentially unfolded the events as planting a sapling, visits to the Self Learning Communication Lab, Headquarters Squadron billet, civilians’ billet, PA room, Communication Squadron billet, Signalmen Mess and main kitchen.

Finally, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) addressed the gathering of Signallers and attended the Courtesy Elevenses held at the Officers Mess where he signed the Visitors’ Book of the Regiment.
