2(V) SLSC WOMEN ATHELETES BECAME THE BEST IN EASTERN GAMES - 2019

The three day long Army Eastern Games - 2019 organized by the Security Force Headquarters (East), concluded with glamour at Security Force Headquarters (East) grounds, Welikanda on 21 September. The event was organized with an eye of providing an arena for young Army athletes to showcase their skills and engage in competition to promote sportsmanship. The Closing Ceremony was graced by the Commander Security Force (East), Major General Aruna Jayasekera as the Chief Guest.

Athletes representing SF HQ (E), 22 Division, 23 Division, 24 Division and FMA (East) take part in this event as women athletes from SFHQ (E), FMA(E),2(V) SLSC, 5 SLAMC, 5(V) SLAWC participated to show case their talents.

Both men and women athletes from 2(V) SLSC contested in all events of the Eastern Games where as 2(V) SLSC women athletes were able to triumph the 1st place 200m, 1^st place in long jump,2^nd place of 100m, 1^st place 400m and 3^rd place in 100m x 4 Relay.

All in all Recruit Woman Senarathna E G S H became the best women athlete winning gold medals for 200m , 400m and long jump.
