A SIGNALLER THE BEST PLAYER (WOMEN) OF ARMY INTER REGIMENT TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP - 2017

This diversifying indoor event was held from 24^th to 27^th October 2017 at the Sri Lanka Army Physical Training School premises in Panagoda with the participation of talented and national ranking players from all regiments in the Army. The closing ceremony of the Table Tennis Championship was held in the evening on 27^th October 2017 at the Army Physical Training School. Director General Infantry, Maj Gen CP Gallage WWV RWP RSP USP USAWC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the ceremony accompanied by the Chairman of the Army Table Tennis Committee, Maj Gen BHMA Wijesinghe USP ndu psc.

Concluding the Championship, Rec Warushawithana ED became the Best Player (Women) of the tournament by exceptionally performing in his events of women\'s single and women's double.

Rec Warushawithana ED joined the Sri Lanka Army on 01^st January 2016. She is a proud creation of Dharmashoka College Ambalangoda where she was groomed into the sports of Table Tennis at the school level. She represented Sri Lanka Table Tennis National Team for the World Table Tennis Championship 2017 held in Germany and Asian Table Tennis Championship 2017 held in China. Currently she is the Sri Lanka rank number one in open Women\'s Category.
