The 12th Regiment SLSC (CS) presented military honours and warm greetings to the newly-appointed Colonel Commandant and Chief Signal Officer (CSO), Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc during his maiden visit to the Regiment located at the Signal Regimental Headquarters premises in Panagoda on Monday, 08 May 2017.
The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Colonel S P P Pakshaweera, Commanding Officer (CO) of the 12th Regiment SLSC (CS) and traditionally awarded a ceremonial Guard Turnout to formally mark the occasion and then conducted to the unit premises, where CO briefed the Regiment's role and tasks on CS as well as training, administrative and logistic matters of the unit. Colonel Commandant then addressed the troops of the Regiment and participated in all ranks photograph before joining with the all ranks mid-day tea prior to his departure from the unit.
