2013 AGM of Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Signal Corps
Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Signal Corps ceremonially held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the year 2013 on 23rd November 2013 at the Signal officers Mess in Panagoda
The occasion was presided by Mrs Sandamali Abeysekera, the Chairperson of the Signal Seva Vanitha Branch and Major General EP DE Z Abeysekera USP, the deputy chief of staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonal Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps as the Guest of Honour. This AGM was included with Key Note Address by the Guest of Honor, general discussion, donations, receiving of donations and an entertainment programme. More than 100 members participated to garce the event of the Signal Seva Vanitha AGM.
During the donation programme, 24 children of fallen/disable and serving War Heroes of the Corps of Signals were given gift parcels worth of approximately Rs 70,000/=, considering their achievements in the Grade - 5 scholarship examination. Except that, 50 chairs were donated to the Signal Seva Vanitha branch for the use of Army Seva Vanitha Nurseries. During the same event Mr and Mrs UM Chandrasekara donated a wheel chair, crutches and bulk of orthopedic equipment to the Signal Seva Vanitha Branch for the use of disabled War Heroes of the Corps of Signals, which has been coordinated and arranged by Mrs Thakshila Wadugoda.
The day$s programme ended with the dancing feats of the SLAWC dancing teems with melodies by the Army beat group.
