L/ CPL NALIN KUMARA C SLSC BRINGS HONORS TO SLSC AT THE 16 ARMY PARAGAMES 2013
L/ Cpl Nalin Kumara C from 7 SLSC brought honor to the Corps of Signals after displaying his talents and moral courage by becoming the 2nd runners up in 100m and 1st Runners up at 200m totally blind event (class 7) at the 16th Army Paragames - 2013 held at Sugathadasa Stadium. This was the very first instant that a differently able War Heroes from the corps managed clinch a title bringing credit to the Corps. Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest, together with his spouse, Mrs Damayanthi Ratnayake, President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch, graced the occasion.
L Cpl Nalin kumra C lost his both eyes in year 2008 due to an explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Nochchikulam Vavuniya.
