  • REGIMENTAL CENTRE COMMANDANT VISITS 5 SLSC

    Brigadier GS Fonseka USP psc, Regimental Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid an official visit to 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 25 November 2022. He was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel SALI Jayasena psc, the Commanding Officer of 5 SLSC.

  • CORPS OF SIGNAL PLAYERS TRIUMPHS IN INTER REGIMENT SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP-2022

    The Inter Regiment Squash Tournament–2022 was held with the participation of players from 16 Regiments and lasted seven days, from September 23 to September 30 at the Squash Courts at Panagoda Sports Complex.

  • THE FOUNDATION STONE WAS LAID FOR ANOTHER NEW HOUSE CONSTRUCTION

    Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps takes another step towards building a house for a needy soldier of the Signal Family. On the request made by S/2C00761 Lance Corporal Mohotti MMRMK RSP, a Non-Commissioned Officer who belongs to 2(V) SLSC is unable to walk without crutches due to nerve damage in the spinal cord. The foundation stone laying ceremony took place on 18 November 2022 at the auspicious minute for the construction of the new house by the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Sashika Herath. Senior members of the signals Seva vanitha branch, relations of the new house owner, the Commanding Officer, and officers of 2 (V) SLSC attended the event.

  • SENIOR OFFICERS OF SIGNALS BOOSTS THE SPIRIT OF LEADERSHIP

    In parallel to Wednesday training and with the purpose of enhancing the leadership skills of senior officers of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, an informative and an educative lecture was held on 16 November 2022 at the conference hall of Sri Lanka Signal Corps. The invaluable lecture assistance on the subject matter was provided by Colonel MBBN Herath RSP, the officiating Director, Media Centre and Media Spokesman, MOD. The timely important interactive session was focused on grooming senior officers on exercising command abilities, blended with the essence of leadership. The target audience was comprised of 100 senior officers in the rank of Major and above. The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, The Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps also joined the fruitful session.

  • PROGRAMME FOR INTRODUCTION OF INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT FOR OTHER RANKERS

    This program was conducted for Other Rankers who are selected to initial interviews for the other rank commission. Several regiments participated in this program including the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, the Gajaba Regiment, the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps, the Sri Lanka Army Special Forces Regiment, Sri Lanka Commando, the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and also Sri Lanka Signal Corps. The purpose of this program was to improve the knowledge of Other Rankers and give them basic knowledge of Information and communication technology.

  • SIGNALLERS EXCELS KNOWLEDGE ON ACCOUNTS AND AUDITS

    A timely important workshop on accounts and audits was organized for the benefit of Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 11 November 2022 at Regimental Centre Auditorium. The very informative lecture, focused on proper function of Regimental Accounts, Audit procedure and Army tender procedure was conducted by Colonel OR Rajasinghe, Colonel Financial Management at Financial Management Branch, Army Headquarters. 50 officers and 150 other ranks attended the educative workshop.

  • SIGNAL WOMENS TEAM BECAME RUNNER UP AFTER A NECK AND NECK FINISH FROM INTER REGIMENT SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP

    Signal women’s swimming team became runner up after a close contest from inter regiment swimming championship held at APTC swimming arena on 1st November 2022. Both men’s and the women’s teams contested in the competition women’s team securing the runner up while men’s team also contested fiercely.
