The new VHF Secured Radio sets which were received through Chinese grant were handed over to Sri Lanka Army. A workshop aimed at training Radio technicians for the operating, maintenance and repair of those new radio sets was commenced on 9th Jan 23 with the assistance of a trainer panel of Hytera Company.

With the beginning of the New Year 2023, the Electronic Warfare Course No 3 was started at Headquarters Signal Brigade, Panagoda on 9th Jan 2023 under the direction and guidance of the Commander Signal Brigade. Other ranks representing all Signal Units attended the course which is specifically designed to enhance EW related theoretical and practical knowledge among the soldiers.

Director Information Technology Brigadier GLSW Liyanage USP psc formally visited 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 6th January 2023 at the Palaly Army Cantonment in Jaffna. Upon the escorted arrival at the Main Entrance of the Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel ULCD Perera psc, the Commanding Officer 3rd Signal Regiment warmly welcome the Director Information Technology. A timely important lecture on Sri Lanka Army War Literature was organized for the Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 14 December 2022 at the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Signal Corps. The lecture was conducted by Lt Col Sujith Chaminda Edirisinghe, using his years of explorations on major milestones in the Sri Lanka Army’s 30 year-long battle against LTTE terrorism. The very interactive and informative session took a trip down the memory on untold truths of war heroics and sacrifice during extreme battles such as Mullaitive debacle and Kokavil Attack. The lecture was also beneficial in raising awareness on war history among Signal Officers and soldiers who joined the Army after 2009. 50 officers and 150 other ranks attended the lecture.
