In view of 73rd Anniversary celebrations, the Mess Night of the Warrant Officers\' & Sergeants\' Mess was held in the evening on 21st October 2016 with the participation of all the Senior NCOs in the Corps of Signals. The Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals, Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc accompanied by senior officers serving within the Corps of Signals premises graced the event. Regimental Sergeant Major, WO1 I K M Wijesinghe received the Chief Guest and other guests, and facilitated for both officers and Senior NCOs to converse among each others in a fine blended milieu of traditions and harmony. All ranks get-together, was an entertainment and interaction event organized by the Corps of Signals for all signalers in order to appreciate their hard work throughout the year. The Colonel Commandant, Major General KRP Rowel RWP USP ndu psc graced the occasion as the chief guest. This colorful evening began with an exciting fireworks display and followed by a musical extravaganza with the participation of veteran artists and upcoming famous singers in the country backed by beautiful dances of an upcountry Dancing troupe. The final event of the 73rd Anniversary Celebrations of the Corps came to an end with a shelling of final nonstop barrage from the Signals Beat Group.
