1^st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Celebrated 70^th Anniversary Day on 17 Oct 2013 at their Headquarters in Wattappalai, Mullaittivu.The 70^th Anniversary was conducted with a Guard Turnout and a Parade for the Commanding Officer, Lt Col BWMJA Premadasa RSP and during the same day the CO attended the all ranks lunch with all officers and ORs.

Lt Col IHMRKHearathpsc SLSC took over duties as the 25^th Commanding Officer of the 1^st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 19^th Oct 2013 with the blessings of MahaSangha. To mark this important event the regiment had organized a Guard Turnout along with a Parade at the Regiment Headquarters at Wattappalai, Mullaittivu.
