The Regimental Centre Commandant of the Corps of Signals, Brigadier P A J Peiris made his official visits to the Signal Regiments. The visits were taken place from 14th to 16th August 2017 as the second segment of the initial visits to the Signals establishments located away from the Signals premises in Panagoda.

Training Day of Signal Officers for the 3rd Quarter of the year 2017 was held at the Signal Regimental Centre on 29 September 2017. The programme was assigned to RHQ SLSC for its fullest organizing and conducting as directed by the Col Comdt. A Considerable number of Senior Officers and Officers enthusiastically participated the whole day programme. The training programme started with Officers' Aerobic Exercises session at 0600 hrs at the Army Physical Training School Pangoda that followed the group breakfast at the Officers' Mess.

Regimental Council Meeting of the Corps of Signals presided by the Colonel Commandant Maj Gen B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc was successfully held at p.m. hours on 29th September 2017 at the main conference hall of the Signal Regimental Centre, Panagoda.

The closing ceremony of the 54th Army Athletics Championship was held on 5th October 2017 at Mahinda Rajapaksha Stadium, Diyagama. This mega event was held from 3rd to 5th October 2017 with the participation of all regiments in the Army. The Commander of the Army Lt Gen N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP USP psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and many serving Senior Offrs witnessed the closing ceremony as the guests.
