    The adventurous Inter Regiment Motor Riding 2018 of the Sri Lanka Army, organized by the Army Motor Racing Association for the second consecutive time held on 27th March 2018 at Saliyapura Racing Track in Anuradhapura.

    MUAY BORAN is the name that describes the Thai National Traditional Martial Arts. It is a form of physical and mental discipline, which includes combat on foot that is known as "the art of eight limbs" as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet, throwing, breaking and is being associated with a good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter extremely effective. MUAY BORAN is arguably one of the most striking national icons of Thailand.

  • NEW COMMANDING OFFICER TAKES OVER 4TH SIGNAL REGIMENT

    The 17th Commanding Officer of the 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel A K D Adikari USP relinquished the duties and handed it over to the incoming Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel P P C Perera psc on 28th February 2018. Aligning with this special occasion, both outgoing and incoming Commanding Officers were awarded Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade at the Regiment’s Parade Square that was followed by the other customary deeds of the military traditions such as sapling of trees, All Ranks Lunch and farewells.

  • VISIT OF SIGNAL LADIES TO ABHIMANSALA 1, ANURADHAPURA

    The members of the Signals Seva Vanitha Branch headed by the Chairperson Mrs. Arosha Wijesinghe visited Abhimansala 1, the Wellness Resort of the differently able war heroes in Anuradhapura on 17th March 2018. The group of Signals ladies travelled from Colombo to Anuradhapura, firstly attained the Blessings in merit of worshiping the sacred “Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi” and then conducted their annual visit to Abhimansala.

  • SIGNALLERS WON THE TROPHY OF THE ‘WAVE’ NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP- 2018

    Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps organized the ‘Wave’ Netball Championship 2018 in collaboration with the Western Provincial Department of Education on 10th and 11th of March 2018 at the Army Gymnasium – Panagoda with the participation of the following teams:

  • NEW COMMANDING OFFICER TAKES OVER 5 SLSC

    Outgoing Commanding Officer of 5 SLSC Lt Col B D Fernando USP psc handed over the duties to the incoming Commanding Officer Lt Col P H N Chandrasekara in accordance with the series of military formalities and traditions on 02 February 2018. Aligning with this special occasion, incoming Commanding Officer was awarded the Guard Turnout presented by the troops of the Regiment that was followed by the customary deeds of the military event. 5 SLSC is presently deployed in Menerigma, PADUKKA under the Security Force Headquarters (WEST).

  • 12TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS (CYBER SECURITY) CELEBRATES 1ST REGIMENT DAY

    12th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps (Cyber Security) celebrated 1st Regiment Day on 25th January 2018.

    On 25th of January 2018, the corps day celebrations commenced with guard turnout followed by the Ceremonial Parade to the Commanding Officer at the parade ground of Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Signal Corps. The next event was a charming tea party with the participation of all ranks at the Regimental Headquarters building.

  • ALL ARMY BRANCHES, DIRECTORATE AND INSTITUTIONS EDUCATED ON "HANDLING AND CONSERVATION OF DOCUMENTS"

    As directed by the Commander of the Army, an awareness programme on "Handling and Conservation of Documents" was organized by the Headquarters Chief Signal Officer (HQCSO) with the join hand of Department of National Archives for the Staff Officers and NCOs of all Army Branches, Directorates and Institutions on Monday, 18th December 2017 at the main auditorium of the Signals Regimental Centre, Panagoda.

  • SIGNALMAN CHATHURANGA K D RECEIVED WELFARE INCENTIVES

    Colonel Commandant of Corps of Signals, Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc and Chairperson of the Signals Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Arosha Wijesinghe stepped forward with a financial contribution of LKR 100,000.00 to Signalman Chathuranga KD of 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps to immediately facilitate his wife Mrs. Thushari Malkanthi who is suffering from a severe Lung Disease. This donation was essential to purchase oxygen tanks for the patient to undergo indispensable medical treatments at the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases, Welisara. This charitable movement was taken place on 15th December 2017 at the Signals Regimental Centre. Lieutenant Colonel B D Fernando USP psc, Commanding Officer, 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps was present at the scene.

  • SIGNALS CONDUCTED SOCIAL ETIQUETTE TRAINING FOR SRI LANKA RAILWAYS

    Lt Col N P A Mendis psc of the Corps of Signals conducted a day workshop on "Modern Social Etiquette" to the Locomotive Drivers of the Sri Lanka Railway on 24th November 17 at the main Auditorium of the Railway Headquarters, Maradana.
