  • 4 SLSC CONDUCTED THE SIGNALS INTER UNIT ATHLETIC MEET 2018

    Inter Unit Athletics Meet 2018 of Sri Lanka Signal Corps was held on 07th and 08th of July 2018 at the North Central Province Sport Complex in Anuradhapura. In the opening ceremony, the Athletic Meet was declared open by the Commanding Officer of the 4th Signal Regiment, Lt Col Priyanka Perera psc. 4th Signal Regiment organized and conducted the whole Meet with the participation of a large gathering of athletes from all the Signal Regiments.

  • SIGNALLERS BID FAREWELL TO THE REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJOR

    18th Regimental Sergeant Major of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, WOI M G N Amarasiri retired from the service on 14 June 2018. Appreciating the 22 years of service rendered to the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Signals Regimental Headquarters bid farewell to its RSM with parade and an All Rank mid-day tea that was organized at the main auditorium of the Signal Regimental Centre with the participation of SLSC senior officers and Other Ranks who are serving in Panagoda and came from different Signal Regiments. At the end of the tea, WO1 Amarasinghe planted a sapling in memory of his tour of duty in the Army. Then, before attending the farewell get together held at the SLSC WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess in the evening, retiring RSM WO1 M G N Amarasinghe and newly appointed RSM WO1 S K Hewage RSP were conducted before the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc to officially hand over the duties.

    Sri Lanka Signal Corps conducted a half day practicum on Modern Social Etiquette and Individual Grooming to the undergraduates of Sri Jayawardanapura University of Sri Lanka on 26th May 2018 at the Signal Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.

    Troops of the Corps of Signals got a rare opportunity to attend a valuable training session on “Satisfactory Army Life” that was held on 23rd May at the Signal Regimental Centre in line with the All Ranks’ monthly training day of the month of May 2018.

  • SIHNAHALA & TAMIL NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS AT 7 SLSC

    7th Regiment SLSC conducted their traditional festive event of the year on Monday, 09th April to celebrate the Sinhala and Hindu New Year 2018. This cultural festival was held at the own camp premises in Diyatalawa with the participation of both Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment and their families. The series of traditional games and activities conducted throughout the day caused much amusement for all who were present at the venue.

  • NEW COMMANDING OFFICER TAKES OVER 4TH SIGNAL REGIMENT

    The 17th Commanding Officer of the 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel A K D Adikari USP relinquished the duties and handed it over to the incoming Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel P P C Perera psc on 28th February 2018. Aligning with this special occasion, both outgoing and incoming Commanding Officers were awarded Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade at the Regiment’s Parade Square that was followed by the other customary deeds of the military traditions such as sapling of trees, All Ranks Lunch and farewells.

  • VISIT OF SIGNAL LADIES TO ABHIMANSALA 1, ANURADHAPURA

    The members of the Signals Seva Vanitha Branch headed by the Chairperson Mrs. Arosha Wijesinghe visited Abhimansala 1, the Wellness Resort of the differently able war heroes in Anuradhapura on 17th March 2018. The group of Signals ladies travelled from Colombo to Anuradhapura, firstly attained the Blessings in merit of worshiping the sacred “Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi” and then conducted their annual visit to Abhimansala.
