  • LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME COMMENCED FOR 145 GRADUATES

    Three weeks Leadership Training Programme was inaugurated at the Signal Regimental Center at Panagoda for 145 Graduates on 14 September 2020. Director, Directorate of Information and Technology Brigadier P A J Peiris ndu conducted the Opening Address and commenced the training programme.

  • CORPS OF SIGNALS WELCOMED GRADUATES FOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME

    In line with HE the president’s the ‘Saubhagayaye Dekma’ policy statement and on HE’s directions to the Army begins under phases on 14 September 2020 and as a result 145 Graduates from Galle and Kandy districts were reported to Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Signal Corps for three weeks leadership training programme.

    Officer Cadets of Intake 88 from Sri Lanka Military Academy visited to a demonstration of a DAA organized by Forward Maintenance Area (East) on 31 Aug 2020. All Logistic units of the Security Force Headquarters (East) displayed IRGs, Dressing stations, FOT, FRG and etc whereas 2(V) SLSC demonstrated a Communication Centre of the DAA.

    Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) bid a farewell to its outgoing Major General HP Seneviratne VSV USP ndu on 05 September 2020 on his retirement after having counted an illustrious service of more than 34 years in the Sri Lanka Army.

    The 9 Commanding Officer of the 9 Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel MPCB Jayashantha USP took over the duties from Lieutenant Colonel MKG Perera RSP USP, the outgoing Commanding Officer on 8 February 2019.

  • 5 SLSC COMPLETED RENOVATION OF THE RESIDENCE OF LATE HERO’S HOUSE IN KEGALLE

    5th Signal Regiment successfully completed a comprehensive renovation of the residence of late L/Cpl Edirimanna ERPK of 5SLSC at Kegalle and Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel DMIS Bandara SLSC handed over the renovated house back to late hero’s parents in a brief function held at the venue on 04th August 2020.

    3rd Signal Regiment successfully completed a comprehensive renovation of the residence of late S/Sgt Perera JK of 3SLSC that is located in Avissawella and Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel NPA Mendis psc SLSC handed over the renovated house back to the family of deceased S/Sgt in a brief function held at the venue on 29th July 2020.

    Major General WPAK Thilakarathna psc, Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army paid an official visit to 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 15 July 2020.

    The cornerstone laid to build a new house for late Sergeant Kumarsinghe J for his family was took place at Wattegama on 26 June 2020.
