  • 46TH NATIONAL AGE GROUP AQUATIC SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022

    46th National Age Group Aquatic Championship (2022) organized by Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) was held at Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex from 08th to 11th June 2022 with the participation of 74 sports clubs. In that two Signalers were able to win 5 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals by representing Sri Lanka Army Team.

    Lieutenant Colonel Chandra Kumara Gunathilake of the 11th Reg Sri Lanka Signal Corps (IT) assumed office on Friday (25) as the 7th Commanding Officer of the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps (IT).

  • VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR STUDENTS OF THE CERTIFICATE IN TELECOMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY COURSE-CTTC (NVQ LEVEL 3)

    Corps of Signals is responsible for providing information and communication technology required for command, control and administration of the Sri Lanka Army. To fulfill the prime role, the corps needs to maintain a competent and professional work force. As a results of the rapid Technological development in telecommunication field in recent past, the scope of the Tele communication technician has been evaluated and modified to suit with present environment. Accordingly, the Certificate in Telecommunication Technology Course (CTTC- Lvl 3) was commenced at School of Signals for the first time under the registration of Territory and Vocational Training Commission of Sri Lanka on 18th April 2022.

  • A GOLD MEDAL IN THE 17TH NATIONAL WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIPS

    17th National Wushu Championships 2022 was conducted by the Wushu Federation of Sri Lanka held on 30th, 31st March and 01st, 02nd April 2022 at Rathnapura Sports Complex Indoor Stadium. Rec Bhagya BMH from Sri Lanka Signal Corps represented Army Wushu Team in this competition. Bhagya was able to win the Gold medal in the Sunshu Optional Event and won the Bronze Medal for the 3rd place in the Changquan Event.

  • SOUTH ASIAN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

    South Asian Cross Country Championship and 56th National Cross Country Championship were organized by the Nagaland Athletics Association under the aegis of Athletics Federation of India at Kohima on 26th March 22. In that, S/287005 Sgw Nidarshani W M N Participated for the Women’s Cross Country Team Event and they were able to win the 2nd place. Sri Lanka Cross Country athletic team was able to secure the 8th place in the overall Championship.

    Brigadier BI Assalartchi USP psc, newly appointed Commander Signal Brigade assumed duties as the 24th Signal Brigade Commander on 09 March 2022 at the Headquarters Signal Brigade, Panagoda, Homagama.

    Major RDRM Fernando RSP USP psc SLSC assumed duties as the 21st Commanding Officer of 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 17 February 2022.

  • COMMANDING OFFICER OF 4TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS RELINQUISHED DUTIES

    After completing almost one and half years of commendable service as the Commanding Officer of 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Lt Col MADS Muthugala USP SLSC relinquished duties on 15th February 2022. He was saluted with a guard turnout after he was warmly received by the Second in Command of the unit Major WHMJ Wijerathna psc SLSC.
