The members of the Signals Seva Vanitha Branch headed by the Chairperson Mrs. Arosha Wijesinghe visited Abhimansala 1, the Wellness Resort of the differently able war heroes in Anuradhapura on 17th March 2018. The group of Signals ladies travelled from Colombo to Anuradhapura, firstly attained the Blessings in merit of worshiping the sacred “Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi” and then conducted their annual visit to Abhimansala.
During the visit, Signal ladies presented fruit baskets with gift vouchers to all inmates those who are spending rest of their lives in this Wellness Resort and offered a delicious lunch for them. The beat group of 3rd Signal Regiment also performed to create a joyful environment that made the event more happening.
The Signals Seva Vanitha Branch here made a special monitory contribution worth of Rs. 100,000.00 to Corporal Kapilarathne W M S R (S/279007) of 9th Signal Regiment whose wife is presently suffering from severe cancer and undergoing treatments at the Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura and presented a pack of needful food and other stuff to the same family.
