VISIT OF NEWLY APPOINTED CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER OF SRI LANKA ARMY TO 2(V) SLSC

Major General WPAK Thilakarathnepsc, Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army paid his first official visit to 2 (V) Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Welikanda on 25 May 2020.

Having inspected the Traditional Ceremonial Guard Turnout awarded by the troops of the Regiment, Chief Signal Officer was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel AAT Somarathna USP, the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) SLSC.

Following the formal briefing conducted by Commanding Officer,programme of the day was comprised number of significant events including an All Rank tea party, planting of sapling, group photograph, troop address and lunch. The Chief Signal Officer addressed all gathered and he outlined what was his vision on the future development of signalers as multi task signalers. And he didn’t procrastinate to appreciate all who have helped him to continue his tenure in order to uplift standards of the Corps among others.

Then Commanding Officer - 2(V) SLSC presented a memento to Chief Signal Officer on behalf of all in order to appreciate his generosity and service rendered as Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army.

Afterwards CSO was treated by a delicious dinner with all Officers at Laya Waves Hotel premises. Finally, CSO departs by leaving a congratulatory note in the Visitors Book of the 2(V) SLSC for the job well-done.
