TROOPS BID FAREWELL FOR RETIRING THEIR COLONEL COMMANDANT AT SLSC REGIMENTAL CENTRE

Major General PAJ Peiris ndu , the retiring 14 th Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Signal Corps received a customary farewell on 05 June 2022 at SLSC Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda before he relinquishes his duties after an exemplary service of more than 35 years.

Major General PAJ Peiris ndu in conformity with military traditions was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier GS Fonseka USP psc and accorded a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the main entrance of RHQ SLSC.

Afterwards, he laid a floral wreath at the War Heroes’ monument in remembrance of fallen War Heroes. Subsequently, he was honoured in a Guard of Honour which was followed by all ranks tea party held in WOs’ & Sgt Mess.

Then, he addressed all troops and Colonel Commandant was presented with a souvenir in appreciation of his reputed service, rendered to the Regiment during the all ranks lunch.

Later all Officers and Other Ranks in a moving gesture, honoured him in a street line towards to main gate. Then his vehicle has started to move out from Regimental Centre premises after his returning salute to Regimental Centre.

The formalities were culminated with a formal dinner night, hosted by Officers at the Regimental Officers’ Mess.
