The Signal Brigade organized a ten-day training Programme for 20 Police officers from Communication division of Sri Lanka Police. The training Programme was started on 27 April 2023 at 10 SLSC (CT) Panagoda and Commander Signal Brigade Col HDJP Weerathunga Conducted the opening address with the invitation of Commanding officer 10 SLSC, Maj TTN Mendis USP who is responsible CO for conducting of the training.
On the request of the Inspector General of Police to be in line with the conceptual guidance of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Chief Signal Officer Major General KAWS Rathnayake ndu took the initiative for this training Programme.
The event aimed to enhance the capacity-building, build up the technical and hands on skills of the officers from communication division of Sri Lanka Police. Those Police officers are supposed to widen their horizon of technical knowledge in both theoretical and practical aspects in several communications engineering disciplines such Micro Wave Engineering, PABXs and line communication, Sound Engineering and Some fundamentals of repair and maintenance of the electronic equipment at the workshop level.
