SRI LANKA ARMY SIGNAL ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES IT'S 58 ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS AND FAMILY GET TOGATHER
The Sri Lanka Army Signal Association celebrated its 58th Annual family get together with the presence of large number of ex-signalers and their family members. The Association was established in December 1955 to look into the welfare and other activities of all its past members and their families. This event was organized at the Public Library Auditorium' at Viharamaha Devi Park on 13 October 2013. The event is organized annually by members to meet their past fellow mates and to share their thoughts. The get- together commenced by lighting the traditional oil lamp by the Ex Serviceman President Brig KA Gnanaweera USP (rtd) along with many senior serving and retired officers including Maj Gen CJ Abeyrathne VSV USP (rtd) ,the present Chief Signal Officer Brig KRP Rowel RSP psc. As a special gust of honor Major General EP De Z Abeysekera USP, The Deputy Chief of Staff and the Colonel Commandant of SLSC graced the occasion. Later he distributed away the prizes and enjoyed lunch with his past senior peers sharing thoughts of many past moments.The entire event was made colorful with various verities of games and entertainment activities for kids and adults. The SLSC beat group add glamour by performing various popular songs and kept them happy throughout the event.
