SLSC TROOPS BACK TO HOME AFTER THE RESCUE MISSION IN EARTHQUAKE DEVASTATED NEPAL

Having kept the Sri Lankan name high in earthquake devastated Nepal, Sri Lankan tri-service rescue and relief contingent, returned to mother land on Monday (11) evening at the Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport. The contingent consisted with 116 Army personnel from Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps as per reqd seniority (SLAMC), Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE), Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC), Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC), Commandos and a few other personnel. The Sri Lanka Signal Corps contingents, made up of 1 x Officer and 5 x Ors under the directions of Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps. They have been awarded valuable certificate by the Commander of the Army to appreciate their commitment rendered for the rescue and relief operation in Nepal.
