SLSC LANCE CORPORAL PERERA KLSK BROKE HER OWN NATIONAL RECORD

The Army athletics meet Commenced on 22 November 2021 at Sugathadasa Stadium with the participation of considerable number of athletes representing all regiments.

In the the 4th day of the Army athletics meet Lance Corporal Perera KLSK broke the same record (3m 57 cm )of pole vault which was opened by herself on 99th National Championship held in 2021. This record breaking signal woman has joined Sri Lanka Army on 29 December 2017 as a Direct Sportswoman for pole vault and currently training under 11 th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps. Furthermore, achivements of the Signal woman soldier are as follows:

Year 2018

• National Championship 1st Place – 3.40 m
• Junior National Championship 2nd Place – 3.15m
• Defence Service Athletic Meet 1st Place – 3.40m ( New Meet Record)
• Army Championship 1st Place – 3.40m ( New Meet Record)

Year 2019

• National Championship 1st Place – 3.40m
• Army Championship 1st Place – 3.41m (New Meet Record)

Year 2020

• National Championship 1st Place – 3.56m (New Sri Lanka Record)

Year 2021

• National Championship 1st Place – 3.57m (New Sri Lanka Record)
• Army Championship 1st Place – 3.60m (New Sri Lanka Record)
