SLSC BECAME THE ARMY INTER REGIMENT BEACH VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONS - 2015
The final clash of the Army Inter Regiment Beach Volleyball Championship - 2015 held at Browns Beach, Negombo on 13 January 2016 between Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) \'A\' Team and Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Team. 15 Men\'s teams and 6 Women\'s teams has participated the event. The most experienced and talented duo of the tournament represented the Corps s of Signals, namely S/279513 Cpl Jayathilake KAKIT and S/89497 Rec Silva WDT. Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Major General H C P Gunathilake RSP USP ndu psc grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Signallers were performed brilliantly from the beginning and clinched the championship maintaining their unbeaten record throughout the tournament. At the very first time in the Sri Lanka Army sports history, Sri Lanka Signal Corps won the Championship Trophy as well as the Best Player of the tournament in Beach Volleyball.
