The Corps Signals became the Champion of the Inter Regiment Table Tennis Championship 2017. This diversifying indoor event was held from 24th to 27th October 2017 at the Sri Lanka Army Physical Training School premises in Panagoda with the participation of talented and national ranking players from all regiments in the Army.
During this Table Tennis Championship, Signal players were abled to show their high class of performances in both men and women events. As a result, Capt JAYS Jayakody SLSC won the award for the Best Player (Men) and Rec Warushavithana ED SLSC became the Best Player (Women).
The closing ceremony of the Table Tennis Championship was held in the evening on 27th October 2017 at the Army Physical Training School. Director General Infantry, Maj Gen CP Gallage WWV RWP RSP USP USAWC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the ceremony accompanied by the Chairman of the Army Table Tennis Committee, Maj Gen BHMA Wijesinghe USP ndu psc. The Corps of Signals is proudly holding the Army Table Tennis Championship (Men) since 2010.
