The Signals Seva Vanitha branch conducted a scholarship programme funding a university student for her studies. The donation was held on Sunday 25th in line with its monthly meeting for the month of February.
A daughter of a deceased war hero of Sri Lanka Signal Corps was selected to receive the scholarship. Ms Sadareka Kumarasinghe, daughter of late Sergeant Kumarasinge HDS was the recipient of the scholarship being an undergraduate of the faculty of medicine, University of Peradeniya.
The fortunate medical student was invited to the School of Signals premises together with her mother. The donation was made by Mrs Ganga Herath, President of the Signals Seva Vanitha branch. The scholarship will be continued as a monthly contribution until the end of the undergraduate period.
