SIGNALS LADIES CLUB DONATED A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE TO A FAMILY OF LATE WAR HERO
The Signals Ladies Club handed over a newly constructed house to a family of late war hero, S/278069 L/Cpl Nilantha Bandara RSP who has sacrificed his life to bring the much awaited peace to our motherland on 16th August 2008.
On the invitation of Signals Ladies Club, former Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General E P de Z Abeysekara USP, Former Chairperson of Signals Ladies Club Mrs. Sandamali Abeysekara graced the house warming ceremony as the Chief Guests. Members of the Ladies Club and Senior Officers of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps participated the event. The cornerstone was laid for the project by the former Chairperson of Signals Ladies Club, Mrs. Sandamali Abeysekara on a private property of the beneficiary located at Meegoda. The total project amounting Rs 1.7 million was funded by the well wishers and relatives of Mrs. Sandamali Abeysekara. The project was supervised and completed by the Signal Base Workshop Panagoda.
