SIGNALS ISSUE E VACCINATION CERTIFICATES TO THE NATION

With world's first Covid-19 infection in Wuhan, China in 2019, the Covid-19 epidemic spread among the entire world in a short period of time, and as a result, the Sri Lankan people are also at a very high risk.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Army has been entrusted with the task of computerizing the data of the people participating in the Immunization Program, which is being carried out under his expeditious program, following the Government's decision to carry out immunization to prevent further spread of the Covid-19 virus, and with the instruction of the Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva and with the guidance of the Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Major General Ashoka Peiris, and with the assistance of Brigadier Chanaka Prathapasinghe Director Information Technology, 11 Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps commenced of issuing E- Certificate to the nation.

This certificate is issued by the directions of Commanding Officer 11 Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel Saman Kothalawala and by the Skilled Operators of the Corps of Signals.

This Process was started with the collaboration with Ministry of Health and the direction of Director Health Information of Ministry of Health Dr Palitha Karunaprema. Further person who vaccinated from Army Hospital Colombo and Army Vaccination Centre are eligible for recieving the E- Vaccination Certificate.
