SIGNALS CONTRIBUTED FOR A SCHOLARLY SESSIONS AT OCDC
The two-day symposium, themed on \"Changing Security Landscape: Role of Sri Lankan Forces\" was held on 24th and 25th May 2017 at the Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) Buttala that was prospered to its conclusion with inducing interest among the attendees on the moderated academic sessions conducted by both military and civil intellectuals.
Major General Ajith Wijesinghe, Prof Shantha K Hennayake and Major General Aruna Jayasekara contributed respectively to the symposium, bringing technological aspects, geo-political interests and challenges to Sri Lankan Armed Forces into discussion as Chairpersons in the three Sessions.
As the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals and the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Ajith Wijesinghe Chaired the first session and expressed comprehensions on the topic \"Security Implications on Technology and Sophistications: Positives and Negatives\".
All three sessions were separately addressed by panelists, Mr Asantha Senevirathna, Mr Sanath De Silva, Brigadier G V Ravipriya, Brigadier M D U V Gunatilleka, Colonel S A Kulathunga and Lieutenant Colonel K V P Dhammika in addition to the contribution made by above mentioned Chairpersons.
