SIGNALS CONDUCTED SOCIAL ETIQUETTE TRAINING FOR SRI LANKA RAILWAYS

Lt Col N P A Mendis psc of the Corps of Signals conducted a day workshop on "Modern Social Etiquette" to the Locomotive Drivers of the Sri Lanka Railway on 24th November 17 at the main Auditorium of the Railway Headquarters, Maradana.

The General Manager of the Railway Department Mr S M Abeywickrama, senior officials and members of the Locomotive Operating Engineers’ Union participated the brief opening ceremony. There were approximately 150 Locomotive Drivers of Class 1, 2 and 3 attended the session whereas they were taught on the practical and functional Etiquette of Personal Hygiene, Dress Code, Fine Dining Etiquette and the etiquette in the respective working environment.

This training session was organized and conducted as directed by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army on a special request of Locomotive Operating Engineers’ Union of Sri Lanka Railways.
