In line with the 74th Anniversary celebrations of the Corps of Signals, the Mess Night of the Warrant Officers' & Sergeants' Mess was held in the evening on 20th October 2017 with the participation of a large gathering of Senior NCOs. The Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals, Major General B H M A Wijesighe USP ndu psc accompanied by Senior Officers too graced the occasion of the pre-dinner session.
Regimental Sergeant Major, WO1 M G N Amarasiri received all the guests and facilitated for both Senior Officers and Senior NCOs to converse among each others in a fine blended milieu of traditions and harmony. During the function Colonel Commandant addressed the gathering stressing upon the validity of Senior NCOs in the organization with an ideology of clear view towards the prospect through the professionalism. Prior to leave the premises, Colonel Commandant kept his remarks in the Visitors Book of the Warrant Officers\' & Sergeants\' Mess and handed over a special gift of all Officers to the Regimental Sergeant Major.
