Mr, Malliyawaduge Chandrasena from Ambalangoda donated Rs, 1.7 million to Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Signal on 16 January 2014. Mr M Chandrasena is a pioneer Civil Engineer in Sri Lankan construction field as well as a well known Civil Servant in 1970s\'. The 1.7 million worth of cheque was received by Mrs Sandamali Abeysekera, the Chairperson of Signal Seva Vanitha Branch at the residence of Mr Chandrasena in Kirulapana Colombo 06. This fund has scheduled to be utilized for constructing a house for a war hero of Sri Lanka Signal Corps in memory of late Mrs. Pearl Chandrasena who is the beloved spouse of Mrs M Chandrasena.
