REGIMENTAL CENTRE COMMANDANT VISITS 5 SLSC

Brigadier GS Fonseka USP psc, Regimental Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid an official visit to 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 25 November 2022. He was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel SALI Jayasena psc, the Commanding Officer of 5 SLSC.

The day’s proceedings started by planting a sapling, followed by a group photograph. Subsequently, he addressed All Ranks and he emphasized the expectations of the Col Comdt specially in terms of discipline, performance and training for the future betterment of The Corps and the elevation of the Signal image in The Army. Then, the Commanding Officer presented a memento to the day's visitor as a symbol of appreciation.

Later, Regimental Centre Commandant joined for an all ranks tea party where he shared his thoughts with Officers and Other Ranks. Then formal briefing conducted by Commanding Officer of 5 SLSC to Regimental Centre Commandant regarding the duties performing by 5 SLSC at present and after that he visited the camp area.

The day's programme culminated with lunch at Officers Mess and before concluding the day’s itinerary, he left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the ‘Unit Visitors’ Book.
