NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF 5TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS ASSUMES OFFICE

Major RMKUK Ratnayake USP SLSC assumed duties as the 20th Commanding Officer of 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 02 May 2023.

In accordance with military traditions, Major RMKUK Ratnayake USP SLSC reviewed the guard turnout on his arrival and he was given with a colorful parade commanded by the Second in Command Major NPSM Sisira Kumara psc SLSC.

Subsequently the newly appointed Commanding Officer symbolically signed an official document to signify the acceptance of the new appointment amidst religious observances.

Following the Regimental tradition new Commanding Officer resembled the assuming of duties by planting a sapling followed by a group photograph. Then he joined an All Ranks tea, where he shared his thoughts with Officers and Other Ranks.

Later, he addressed the under command troops stressing upon his determined ideas towards the way forward of the Regiment. The day's programme culminated after visiting the camp premises.
