NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF THE 4TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS ASSUMES OFFICE

Major WHMJ Wijerathne psc SLSC assumed duties as the 22nd Commanding Officer of the 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 18 August 2023.

In accordance with military traditions, Major WHMJ Wijerathne psc SLSC reviewed the guard turnout on his arrival and he was given with a colorful parade by the troops of 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Subsequently, the newly appointed Commanding Officer officially assumed the duties of the new appointment amidst religious observances.

Following the Regimental tradition, new Commanding Officer resembled the assuming of duties by planting a sapling followed by a group photograph with all ranks. Then he addressed the under command troops stressing upon his determined ideas towards the way forward of the Regiment.

Then he joined with all ranks to enjoy a tea. The day's programme culminated after visiting the camp premises.
