NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF 3RD REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS ASSUMES OFFICE AMID CEREMONIALS AND GREETINGS

Lieutenant Colonel Chinthaka Perera assumed duties on 22 August 2022 as the 26th Commanding Officer of 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps which is located under Security Force Headquarters, Jaffna.

In accordance with military traditions, Lieutenant Colonel Chinthaka Perera reviewed a guard turnout on his arrival after hailed by Major Lakshitha Wijewantha, the acting Second in Command.

Subsequently, the newly appointed Commanding Officer symbolically assumed duties amidst religious observances.

Thereafter, planting a Sandalwood sapling, the Commanding Officer addressed the under command troops, adhering to prevailing health guide lines. The series of ceremonial events concluded after an All-Ranks’ tea and a camp visit.
