Major K V A Kodikara psc SLSC assumed duties as the 11th Commanding Officer of 2nd Volunteer Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 11 November 2022.
In accordance with military traditions, Major K V A Kodikara psc SLSC reviewed the guard turnout on his arrival and he was given with a colorful parade commanded by the Second in Command Major S P Gallage SLSC .
Subsequently the newly appointed Commanding Officer symbolically signed an official document to signify the acceptance of the new appointment amidst religious observances.
Following the Regimental tradition new Commanding Officer resembled the assuming of duties by planting a Mango sapling. Afterwards he addressed the under command troops stressing on his determined ideas towards the 2nd Volunteer Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps. The series of events concluded after an All Ranks’ tea and camp visit.
