Fulfilling a much needed requirement, the new office of Signal Association was declared open by Brig FCJ De Silva (Retired) USP, the most senior retired Signal officer of the Corps of Signals on 15 October 2023 at the Regimental Centre premises, Panagoda. The event took place in paralleled to the 80th Anniversary Celebrations of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps. The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu and Maj Gen KRP Rowel (Retired) RWP VSV USP USACGSC, the Honorable President of the Signals Association, other office bearers and senior officers of Sri Lanka Signal Corps witnessed the brief ceremony.
