NEW CHIEF OF STAFF TAKES OVER DUTIES AT ARMY HEADQUARTERS
Major General S A P P Samarasinghe RSP USP psc, new Chief of Staff of the Army assumed duties on Tuesday 20th May 2014 morning with a simple ceremony at Army Headquarters.\r\n\r\nA brief religious ceremony, headed by Ven Dr Kirinde Assaji Thero invoked blessings and thereafter Major General S A P P Samarasinghe symbolically signed the first official document as the Chief of Staff in the presence of many senior officers.
