NEW BRIGADE COMMANDER OF SLSC ASSUMED OFFICE IN 543 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Brigadier BI Assalaratchi USP psc assumed duties as 10^th Commander of the 543 Infantry Brigade of the 54 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ-Wanni, at the 543 Infantry Brigade Headquarters, Pesalai , Thalamannar on Tuesday (19).

The newly appointed Commander of the 543 Infantry Brigade was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the 11 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment on arrival at the premises. To mark the formal, assumption of duties, Brigadier BI Assalaratchi USP psc placed his signature in a formal document. Later, he was invited to plant a sapling in the premises as a gesture of memory. Commanding Officers of 1 SLA and 7 VIR, Brigade Staff and Other Rankers participated for the said event.
