GUARD OF HONOUR TO MAJOR GENERAL K R P ROWEL RWP USP ndu psc

RHQ SLSC organized a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour to Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc at 9.00 am on 13 March 2014 at the Signal Regimental Premises in Panagoda. This formal ceremony was held on the occasion of his promotion to the Rank of Major General on 4 March 2014, which is with effect from 7 October 2013. Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc is the Present Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army. He was enlisted to the service on 1 October 1981 as an Officer Cadet of Intake 2 of the then Kothelawala Defence Academy (KDA) and was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant on 1 January 1985. Since then, he has held almost all the possible appointments in the Corps of Signal as well as many key appointments in the Army. Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc is the 3rd senior most officer among the present serving officers in the Corps of Signal.
