Foundation stone was laid and work began

Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) of the Sri Lanka Signals Corps takes another step towards building a house for the welfare of the members of the Signal Family. On the request made by the wife of S/279704 S/Sgt Deshapriya RPSK, a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer who died on 06.06.2021 due to a sudden heart attack while on duty at the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit. The foundation stone laying ceremony was commenced on 03.02.2022 with the participation of the Honorary Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) Mrs. Sajeewani Peiris. The CO, 1 SLSC and CO, 2 (V) SLSC also attended the event.

The necessary financial assistance is being provided by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit and Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB). The construction work is being carried out under the supervision of Lt Col BG Udage USP SLSC - CO, 2 (V) SLSC.
