The foundation stone laying ceremony for construction of three Cabanas at Mercury Clubhouse and Adventure park took place at 5th Regiment Sri Lanaka Signal Corps, Menerigama on 04 November 2022.
The construction was initiated following a concept made by Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc, The Chief of Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, and Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu as an extension of Army welfare measures.
Brigadier GLSW Liyanage USP psc, Director Information Technology laid the foundation stone together with Colonel HDJP Weerathunga, Colonel BD Fernando USP psc, Commanding Officers and other senior officers of corps of signals. Senior officers including Commanding Officers and Other Rankers also took part in the ceremony.
