The Corps of Signals conducted a charming felicitation ceremony on 10 August 2021 at the Signal Regimental Centre premises to appreciate newly promoted Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc Commander Signal Brigade adhering to all health regulations on COVID 19.
Starting the day’s programme, Signal Regimental Centre Commandant Brigadier GGA Gunasekara USP welcomed Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc Commander Signal Brigade at the main entrance where formal procedures commenced as troops awarded a Guard Turnout. Then he paid floral tribute before the Signals Monument in memory of fallen war heroes of the Corps of Signals. Afterward, he was awarded with an effusive Guard of Honour and planted a sapling of sandalwood near the main entrance.
Then Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc Commander Signal Brigade grace with his presence at the group photograph with Signal Officers presented at the regimental headquarters office complex. After he attended tea with all officers at the RHQ lobby and finally entertained special lunch at the Officers' Mess.
