Corps of Signals organized a felicitation to the winners of the INFOTEL National ICT Exhibition 2017 and Table Tennis Champions of the year 2017 of the Sri Lanka Army that was held in the morning on 21 November 2017 at the Signals Regimental Centre Auditorium, Panagoda.

Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals and Chief Signal Officer Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest accompanied by Director of the Directorate of IT Brig D A P N Dematanpitiya ndu psc, Brigadier Records and Planning of the RAP and D Branch Brigadier D R Dharmasiri USP Hdmc, Commander Signals Brigade Brigadier M T Waidyaratna, Signals Regimental Centre Commandant Brig P A J Peiris, many other Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.

Representing the Sri Lanka Army, Corps of Signals participated the INFOTEL National ICT Exhibition 2017 held at the BMICH from 2nd to 5th November 2017 and was decorated with the Award of "Stall with the Best Demonstration" that was achieved competing with 220 other stalls belongs to both Government and private sectors. The Exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure together with Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITISL).

The Corps of Signals became the Champion of the Inter Regiment Table Tennis Championship 2017 held from 24th to 27th October 2017 at the Sri Lanka Army Physical Training School premises in Panagoda with the participation of talented and national ranking players from all regiments in the Army. During tournament, Signal players were able to show their high class of performances in both men and women events becoming the Table Tennis Champions in the Army.

During the brief felicitation ceremony, Colonel Commandant awarded special recognition certificates of the Corps of Signals to the Signals Exhibition Team led by Commanding Officer 11th Regiment SLSC (IT) Lieutenant Colonel M T C de Silva psc that became winners of the INFOTEL Exhibition, which is considered as an expert achievement in the technology point of view. While addressing the audience, Colonel Commandant highlighted the importance of team work in any given assignment and the timely appreciating the outcome that also a motivation factor for many others to groom up while reaching higher goals. The ceremony was followed by an All Ranks Tea.
