FAREWELL TO THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS OF SIGNALS BY 2 (VOL) REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

As a part of the final official unit visit of the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General BHMA Wijesinghe USP ndu psc visited the 2 (Vol) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 22 April 2019. The Commanding Officer Lt Col AAT Somarathne USP warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant with a Driven Pass through the Traditional Ceremonial Guard Turnout.

The programme of the day was comprised number of significant events including a Troop Address, Group Photograph, Lunch and an Officers Address. The Colonel Commandant addressed all gathered and he outlined what was his vision on the future development of signalers and how he has done it with whole Signalers. And he didn’t procrastinate to appreciate all who have helped him to continue his tenure in order to uplift standards of the Corps among others. Then Commanding Officer - 2(V) SLSC presented a memento to Colonel Commandant on behalf of all in order to appreciate his generosity and service rendered as 11th Col Commandant of the Corps of Signals.

Thereafter Col Commandant was treated by a delicious Lunch with all Officers at Nildiya Asapuwa - Holiday Bungalow premises. Finally, Colonel Commandant departs to 7 SLSC by leaving a congratulatory note in the Visitors Book of the 2(V) SLSC for the job well-done.
