DIRECTOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MADE MAIDEN VISIT TO UNITES DEPLOY IN NORTHERN THEATERS

Director Information Technology Brigadier GLSW Liyanage USP psc formally visited 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 6th January 2023 at the Palaly Army Cantonment in Jaffna. Upon the escorted arrival at the Main Entrance of the Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel ULCD Perera psc, the Commanding Officer 3rd Signal Regiment warmly welcome the Director Information Technology. Later, Brig GLSW Liyanage USP psc delivered his speech and convince all to harness professionalism whilst preserving highest standard of discipline during their career with vision for the future development of signalers with information technology Thereafter, all ranks tea was taken place and chief guest spared his time with officers and other ranks.

On next day Director Information Technology made his maiden visited to 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Jaffna on 7th January 2023. Lt Col W P D N Abeyrathne , the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Brig GLSW Liyanage USP psc on arrival and a subsequent Ceremonial Guard Turnout was awarded at the entrance in accordance with military formalities. Then the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing on the state of Administration, ICT Matters and Future Technological aspects. Later he planted a Mango sapling to mark his visit to 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps. Before concluding the day’s itinerary, Director Information Technology shared his valuable thoughts with officers and sat together for lunch with all officers at the Officers’ Mess and left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book.

On next day Director Information Technology officially visited to 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps at Anuradhapura on 8th January 2023. Lt Col RDRM Fernando RSP USP psc, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Brig GLSW Liyanage USP psc on arrival and the day’s proceedings started by planting a sapling, followed by a group photograph. Subsequently, he addressed All Ranks and he accentuated the expectations of the future ICT signalers specially in terms of discipline, performance and training for the future betterment of The Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
