CORPS OF SIGNALS TURN OUT WITH ANOTHER MILITARY SECRETARY AT THE AHQ

The Sri Lanka Signal Corps proudly turned out another Military Secretary (MS) to the Sri Lanka Army. The Commander of the Army has newly appointed Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc as the MS with effect from 12th April 2018. He took over the duties in his new office during a brief ceremony held at the MS Branch of the Army Headquarters on Thursday, 12 April 2018.

Major General B H M A Wijesinghe is the present Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals and Chief Signal Officer who fit in with the list as the 5th MS produced by the Corps of Signals.

Major General B H M A Wijesinghe possesses with 33 years of loyal military service. He joined the Sri Lanka Army on 18th January 1985 as an Officer Cadet of Intake-20 of the Sri Lanka Military Academy. At the end of the basic military training, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant on 31st May 1986 and then posted to the prestigious Corps of Signals. Since then, he has rendered his dedicated duty, honour and respect to the Corps of Signals as well as to the Army as a professional Signaller whilst holding considerably a large number of Command, Staff and Instructional appointments in both operational and non-operational areas in the country.
