CORPS OF SIGNAL PLAYERS TRIUMPHS IN INTER REGIMENT SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP-2022

The Inter Regiment Squash Tournament–2022 was held with the participation of players from 16 Regiments and lasted seven days, from September 23 to September 30 at the Squash Courts at Panagoda Sports Complex.

The awards ceremony of the Inter Regiment Squash Tournament–2022 was held on 10 November 2022 at the Squash Courts at Panagoda Sports Complex and the Commander 1 Corps, Colonel of the Regiment of the Commando Regiment and the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Squash Committee, Major General AKGKU Gnanaratne ndc psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

In the event, Col Dammika Thilakarathna SLSC became the champion in the Officers’ Open event and Masters over 50 events. Major Ishara Dayarathna SLSC became the Runners-up in the lady Officers’ Open event.

Further, Sgw Jayamali PRN SLSC became the Champion in the Open Women's event whilst L/Cpl Priyawansa NPGGT SLSC was the runner up in the same event. Sgw Jayalath JRMN SLSC won the 3rd place in both Open and Novices Women's event whilst Cpl Kumara ABSS SLSC won the 3rd place in the Novices Male event.
